- Thank you for booking your eyeliner touch up. Please ensure your eyeliner tattoo is fully healed before attending. Arrive without eye makeup or mascara. Your confirmation email will include full pre appointment instructions.
Do I really need the touch up visit?
In short… Yes.
Some skin types may lose up to 30% of the implanted pigment in the natural healing process. Some may lose hardly any.
The condition of the skin, the skin type, and how you look after your new tattoo will all have an effect on the healing process. But certain medications, health conditions and lifestyle factors also play a role too.
This is why all new Cosmetic Tattoos are a two-step process, and your touch up appointment is scheduled for you at your initial appointment.
The Touch Up visit is usually pretty quick in comparison to the initial appointment, and where the magic really happens!
We can see how your cosmetic tattoo has settled, and can strategically touch it up and make slight modifications if required.

Does eyeliner tattooing hurt?
Honestly, most clients report that eyeliner tattooing is a lot easier than they thought it would be!
If your eye area is healthy, and you can relax into the treatment, there is very little discomfort involved. The skin around the eyes numbs up really well, rendering the treatment painless for most.
We recommended compounded topical anaesthetic for eyeliner tattooing, to ensure it is super effective and long lasting.
Your eyes may feel a little sensitised after the treatment, and some minor swelling isn't uncommon; however, most clients experience very little.
It's important to follow the aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth healing process, and a great healed outcome.
