I have fair hair; can I still get a brow tattoo?

Absolutely! We have a beautiful range of lighter pigments to cater for all fair-haired beauties, including blondes and redheads. At Artisan Cosmetic Tattoo, we are experienced with colour theory and achieving natural results for all hair and skin types.
I’m nervous about getting my brows tattooed… what do I need to know before my appointment?
First of all, that's totally natural and expected! We understand that having a cosmetic tattoo treatment can be a little confronting. We offer complimentary consultaions, if you would like to visit and discuss your concerns.

Upon booking your appointment, we send out some preparation information along with your appointment confirmation.

Main things to consider prior to your appointment:
- Avoid taking supplements like Fish Oil, Ginger and Tumericthe week prior.
- Avoid caffiene right before your appointment, as this acts as a stimulant, increasing your circulatory and nervous systems.
- Avoid heavy alcohol consumption the night before (a glass of wine is fine!)
- Avoid the use of Active Ingredients like Vitamin A, AHAs and BHAs over your brows for a week prior (continuing to use on the rest of your face is fine)
For brows; if you use a powder or pencil every day, please feel free to bring this along to your appointment. Or, apply your brow products prior. This gives us a great opportunity to see how you normally design your brows, and the colour you are comfortable with.

Also, for lips in particular, it's important to increase the hydration and condition of your lip tissue. You can do this by increasing your water intake and using a hydrating lip balm. Not only does this condition your lips, best preparing them for treatment, but you'll be more comfortable during the treatment, and you'll healed results will be enhanced!

We do recommend the use of a topical anaesthetic to ensure the utmost comfort throughout your treatment.

Due to current laws in Australia, we are not allowed to supply anaesthetic to our clients, as anaesthetics are classified as a drug/medication and can only be dispensed by a medical professional.
Upon booking your appointment, we send you a link to our preferred Compound Pharmacist to order your anesthetic.
It is prescribed to you, and is specifically made for cosmetic tattoo treatments, so it is effective and efficient.
